Volunteering with SORD: what to expect
Every SORD program runs on Sudanese volunteers — in the field and remotely. Before your first assignment you complete an orientation and safeguarding training, because the communities we serve come first in everything we do.
Where volunteers are needed
Field operations volunteers run distribution days, registration, and community coordination. Medical volunteers — nurses and health workers — join mobile clinic routes. Education facilitators run safe learning spaces and catch-up classes, and logistics volunteers handle receiving, inventory, and dispatch of aid supplies.
The commitment
We ask for a minimum of one day per week for three months. Field roles require residence in the assignment state, and transport and meals are covered on assignment days. Apply through the Volunteer page — our team responds within a week.
