This policy explains what information the Sudanese Organisation for Reconstruction & Development ("SORD", "we") collects on this website and how we use it. For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights below, write to info@sord-sudan.org.

What we collect

Forms: when you use the contact, volunteer, or newsletter forms we collect what you type — your name, email address, and any phone number, state of residence, or message you provide.

Donations: when you donate by card or Apple Pay, payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. Your card details never reach SORD’s servers; we receive only the amount, the program you chose, and — if you request a receipt — your email address. For bank transfers we receive whatever reference details you include with the transfer.

Preferences: the site stores your language and display preferences in your browser (localStorage). We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use your information solely to respond to you, process your volunteer application, send receipts and the updates you asked for, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information, ever. Information is shared only with the service providers that run this site (hosting and payment processing) and where the law requires it.

Retention and your rights

We keep submissions only as long as needed for the purpose you gave them to us. You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email info@sord-sudan.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If we change this policy we will publish the updated version on this page.
